About Dr. Lim Keng Hua, our Otolaryngologist in Singapore
Dr Lim Keng Hua is a fellowship-trained Ear, Nose, and Throat specialist with over 20 years of clinical experience. He is passionate about his work, and gentle with patients, taking the time to understand and address their concerns. As a father of three, he has an ethos of making sure every child leaves his office without fearing their next doctor’s visit.
Dr Lim has a special interest in nose and sinus diseases, but he is also well-versed in all ENT conditions. His subspeciality training is in nose allergies, complex nose and sinus diseases, and endoscopic skull base surgery.

Highly Skilled and Well-Respected ENT Surgeon
Dr Lim is a highly skilled and well-respected surgeon, who is well-liked by his patients and peers. He holds a bachelor’s medical degree and a Master’s of Medicine in Otorhinolaryngology from Singapore, and is a member of the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh.
He is accredited as a specialist in otorhinolaryngology by the Ministry of Health (MOH) and Singapore Medical Council (SMC), and is a fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore. He is also a member of several professional organizations, including the European and American Rhinologic Society, the Allergy and Clinical Immunology Society (Singapore) and the Asia-Pacific Society of Thyroid Surgery.
Dr Lim received a Clinical Rhinology Fellowship from the Ministry of Health to study in Europe, where he worked under the supervision of world-renowned Professor Wytske Fokkens, and endoscopic skull base surgeon Professor Christos Georgalas in Academic Medical Center in Amsterdam. During this time, he honed his skills in the treatment of complex sinus diseases and nasal allergies.
Giving back to Medical Community
He has made significant contributions to the medical community and has been awarded for his work. He was the recipient of the Clinician Scientist Award on allergic rhinitis in 2010 and was also the Singaporean principal investigator in an international multi-centre trial on chronic sinusitis. He introduced new techniques in sinus surgery and served as the inaugural Lead ENT tutor and adjunct lecturer in Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, where he was instrumental in shaping the ENT curriculum.
He also served as a Senior Clinical Lecturer at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine (NUS) and was a core faculty member in the National Healthcare Group ENT residency programme. He is a member of the standard setting committee for the ENT specialist’s postgraduate medical examination since 2017.
Dr Lim continues to be active in the ENT community. He is constantly being invited to teach at both local and overseas endoscopic sinus and skull base courses. He continue to serve as a visiting consultant to Tan Tock Seng Hospital and a reviewer for several ENT medical journals. He was a board member of the Society of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery, Singapore.
Giving back to the Community
In his free time, Dr Lim is committed in giving back to the community. He has served as the Youth Director and Community Director in the Rotary Club of Tanglin and was elected to lead the club’s President for 2022-2023.
He also volunteered his expertise in disaster relief efforts, traveling with Tzu Chi Singapore to Tacloban, Philippines after it was destroyed by Typhoon Haiyan.
Additionally, he serves on the school advisory committee at Tanjong Katong Secondary School.
